## What NopeSub is

NopeSub is a subscription-cancellation iOS app built by Northstar Forge. The product specifically targets subscriptions that are difficult to cancel because they require phone calls, certified-mail letters, or in-person visits — the kinds of cancellations that take consumers 30-60 minutes per service when done manually. NopeSub does the work for the user.

## How NopeSub works (three paths)

### Path A — Online auto-cancel (~40% of services)
For online subscriptions like Netflix, Spotify, Hulu, Disney+, most SaaS products. NopeSub walks the user through the cancel flow inside the app, with on-screen highlights showing each click. Average cancellation time: 30 seconds.

### Path B — Cancellation letter (~35% of services)
For gym memberships, magazines, alarm contracts, insurance, and most subscriptions requiring written notice. NopeSub generates a legally-formed cancellation letter pre-filled with the user's account information, then emails it directly to the company. The letter format complies with state-by-state US consumer protection law.

### Path C — AI phone call (~25% of services)
For cable, telcos, satellite radio, AOL, and other phone-only cancellations. An AI phone agent (powered by Twilio + OpenAI Realtime API) places the call, navigates the customer service menu, identifies the user with their account details, refuses retention offers, and confirms the cancellation. The user receives a full transcript and a confirmation number.

- **Pro:** $7.99/month or $59/year. Unlimited Path A and B. 3 Path C calls per month. Plaid bank scan included.
- **Concierge:** $24.99/month or $199/year. Unlimited everything. AI also negotiates retention offers if the user wants to stay but pay less.
